Description

Aligner Foam provides convenient mineral and moisture support for teeth worn beneath aligners, retainers or mouth guards. The light foam forms a smooth protective film, helping customers maintain comfort and plaque control during periods when plastic appliances cover the tooth surfaces.

Hydroxyapatite supports natural remineralisation and smooths exposed dentine areas, while hyaluronic acid binds moisture and forms a hydrating layer. Levulinic acid contributes to the fresh flavour and supports the plaque-conscious formula. After brushing, apply a small amount inside each aligner before reinserting it, or distribute the foam over the teeth with the tongue and spit out, following the supplied directions. The 40 ml bottle is designed for regular appliance routines at home or while travelling.

Everything you need to know

When do I need to use a mouthwash?

If you had to undergo a dental intervention, have an open wound in your mouth, or suffer from a gum disease such as gingivitis or periodontitis, use a medicated mouthwash, e.g. Perio plus and follow the instructions of your dental specialist.

A medicated mouthwash has antibacterial or antiseptic properties that reliably remove bacterial plaque from teeth, gums and tongue. It often contains chlorhexidine (CHX) which ensures that the mouthwash isn’t only effective against bacteria, but also against fungal diseases of the oral mucosa. Medicated mouthwashes accelerate regeneration and healing of the tissue in your mouth.

Why should I use interdental brushes with braces?

Braces create many hard-to-reach areas around brackets and wires where plaque and food particles can easily build up. Interdental brushes help clean these areas particularly thoroughly alongside your toothbrush. Regular use supports a healthy oral flora and can help prevent cavities, gum irritation and staining during orthodontic treatment.

Should I rinse before or after brushing teeth?

Rinse after brushing. A mouthwash is most effective when used as the second step of your oral hygiene routine.  We recommend practising both brushing and rinsing—at least twice a day.

Can CPS ortho brushes clean thoroughly around brackets and wires?

Yes. CPS ortho brushes help clean hard-to-reach areas comfortably and precisely around brackets, wires and other orthodontic appliances.

What does Citrox® do in oral care?

Citrox® is great and comes direct from nature. More precisely: it’s a complex of 9 natural bioflavonoids, extracted primarily from bitter oranges. It is a tasteful combination of bioflavonoids to combat harmful bacteria and reinforces the properties of chlorhexidine (CHX). So, it is a perfect CHX partner in mouthwash Perio plus, as they fight harmful bacteria together.

How do I clean effectively under orthodontic wires?

Guide the interdental brush gently back and forth between the teeth and underneath the orthodontic wires. Choosing the right size is important: the brush should glide through the interdental space without pressure. With the right size, cleaning feels gentle, comfortable and effortless.

Is there a version without chlorhexidine or CHX?

Yes, there is. Perio plus zero comes without chlorhexidine but with the entire power of a bacteria fighter. What makes it so special: this next generation formula respects the oral microbiome and only targets the bad guys to prevent gum disease and tooth decay.

How do I clean my teeth properly with braces?

Cleaning teeth with braces requires a little more attention, as plaque can build up more easily around brackets and wires. An orthodontic toothbrush such as the CS ortho helps keep these areas clean while remaining gentle on teeth and gums. Interdental brushes complete the routine by helping keep hard-to-reach spaces between the teeth and under the wires clean.

How often should I replace my orthodontic toothbrush?

If you wear braces, the filaments of your toothbrush usually wear out more quickly because of brackets and wires. That’s why we recommend replacing your CS ortho toothbrush every 6–8 weeks – or sooner if the filaments bend or lose their shape.

Can I use Perio plus every day?

Perio plus and other CHX products are intended for specific oral care situations and should only be used according to the recommendations of your dental professional. For everyday oral care, a toothbrush and interdental brushes are usually all you need.

Can soft bristles clean properly around braces?

Yes. The ultra-soft Curen® filaments of Curaprox toothbrushes clean thoroughly around brackets while remaining exceptionally gentle at the same time. During orthodontic treatment, this helps care for teeth and sensitive gums with extra gentleness.
